Our 4th of July started out with a bang, as it always does, with the annual Huber Family 4th of July breakfast. It starts out with patriotic music blaring out in the street as we all arrive at 7:00AM. Everybody is decked head to toe in red, white and blue. There is always some sort of a program, then breakfast of bacon and deep fried pancakes. Caleb, Noelle, Amy, Marissa and Brynn

It was a warm one this year, even at 7:00 AM, so Kirk's breakfast was a 32 oz.-er.
It wouldn't be 4th of July without a parade around the cul-de-sac with everybody waving their flags as they marched. So cute!!
Also, they played water kickball which was a lot of fun!
Then we pretty much went home and rested up to get ready for more partying. That night my family came over to our house and we barbequed and then went to Apache Junction (yes AJ) to see the fireworks. I absolutely LOVE fireworks, and am kinda a Nazi about making sure we see a good show. So, at first I was a little nervous that AJ fireworks would just be guys in wifebeater tanktops throwing out sticks of dynamite in a parking lot somewhere, but it turned out to be a great show. We had a great place on the lawn right under where they were setting them off, so it was nice and loud, and the explosions were right over our head. The kids had a great time while we waited for the excitement with the glow sticks and confetti poppers that Sara brought. We ate about a ton of popcorn and rice crispy treats, even though we were still totally stuffed from our yummy dinner. It was fantastic!

This year we had a new addition to the traditional fun - a waterballoon toss. I don't know if the kids ever made a volley, but it was sure fun!

That was a fun 4th! Thanks for documenting it so well, even if you did take pictures during the pledge. AJ truly has the best fireworks I've seen in a while, although the parking lot with it's ONE opening was not our friend.
