Kirk's Birthday

Kirk turned the magical age of 38 last month! Wow, can you believe I'm married to someone so old? To celebrate he woke up early, had a delicious protein shake for breakfast, and went to work. Fun?
He's totally in to playing Words With Friends (basically scrabble on the ipad), so we had a scrabble themed birthday.
His big (and only) present this year was a pair of new oars for his kayaks. They have big scooping blades on the end, so he'll be able to paddle so fast!

I made his most favorite dessert for him, it's an ice cream layer dessert - rice crispy bottom, ice cream, and peanut butter fudge on top.
Kirk is pretty amazing! He is currently finishing up his master's degree. He just finished up a finance class that he hated, but totally rocked. He can write up a research paper with such ease, it puts the rest of us to shame. He is 3/4 the way through his program and is rocking a 4.0 gpa. He does all this while managing two teams at work, being an awesome scout leader, and being a dad that our girls adore. I'm so thankful for him and all he does for our family!
