First Day of School!

School has started once again!  My girls were so excited to get back to school and see their friends and meet their teachers.
Brynn is in 2nd grade this year!  Her teacher is Mrs. J Johnson.  (Not to be confused with Mrs. M Johnson, the other 2nd grade teacher who is mean - according to Brynn.)
Her favorite color this year is light bright blue, so she tried to find anything she could in that special color - notice the shorts and backpack.
Liz is in 4th grade!!  Can you believe it?  When did she get so big all of the sudden?  Her teacher is a new one to her school this year, Mrs. Sanders.  Liz is already Mrs. Sanders' all time favorite, and it's only the 2nd week of school.  Liz was a little sad because she got a couple really cute school dresses she was dying to wear on the first day, but had PE on the very first day of school, so had to resort to a shorts outfit instead.  Notice her cute and overloaded backpack.  She wanted to fit everything IN her backpack, not use another bag to take supplies in.

I took them in to their classrooms, because they still let me, and weren't ashamed of me getting all teary as I said goodbye, and would even still kiss me goodbye and pretend they'd miss me.
What big cute girls!
Marissa and Noelle are both at Highland Junior High this year.  The little girls and the big girls are in different school districts, so the big girls started two days after the little girls.  They thought those two days should be their own private back to school party for them and wanted to hang and shop the whole two days.
I was the worst mom ever and forgot to get pictures of them before school.  I felt so bad!  So we got pics when they got home all sweaty and beautiful.
Marissa is totally into the colored jeans this year.  The brighter the better for her!  She is in 8th grade and has a fun full schedule of yearbook, student council and unified PE (where they help the special needs kids).  She was so excited to see all her friends she's missed this summer!
Noelle looked adorable in her bright yellow shirt!  Her hair looked amazing after she spent hours curling it just right.  (Too bad you can't tell in the after school picture!)  This is her first year at Highland, and she switched schools, and had to leave most of her old friends behind at Gateway Pointe.  She has done amazingly well, made tons of new friends already and been a brave trooper to move to a big school, even though she wasn't sure she wanted to at first.  She is taking choir, and is learning lots of great things already!

I'm so proud of my good school girls!

Don't know about you, but 2nd, 4th, 7th and 8th grades were all awkward years for me. These girls are beautiful and confident looking. Hope this is an awesome year, without out the mean Mrs.__.
