Happy Halloween!

We had a spook-takular Halloween! We took full advantage of having a reason to dress up and get candy, and partied all weekend long. By the time Halloween night actually came, I was just about done in, and my girls' costumes were pretty much trashed.

This year we had Miss America.

Marissa thought she was beautiful and loved wearing make-up and four inch heals and being taller than me.

Guess who Noelle is. (This was her favorite game to play every night. She loved not being easily recognizable, but still being super cute.) Did you guess Nancy Drew? It's easier to guess if you've seen the movie.
Lizzie was a cute and sassy witch. Her skirt was just made out of tulle, and was supposed to be long, but she kept bunching it up, so it was just a poof around her waist.

Brynn was a kitty. The first day she dressed up she crawled around everywhere, totally shredding her tulle skirt too. She loved doing a perfect mean cat meow.

We had a fun Nielson party on Thursday night. We let the kids go trick-or-treating to different rooms in the house. Uncle Ty was the scariest, since he put the candy on the floor, and then hid under the bed, and would grab the kids ankles as they went to reach for the candy.
It was lots of fun!

Friday night we had a neighborhood party, then Saturday morning we got together with the Jones' for breakfast where we celebrated Chris and Jake's birthdays and let the kids all see each other in their cute costumes.

Then Saturday night was what everybody had been waiting for! The big girls got to go trick-or-treating with their friends (by themselves!) and got to go to as many houses as they wanted. They thought they were soooo grown up and cool!

The little girls and me went with a couple of their friends down a couple streets, and that was enough for all of us.

Now we have enough candy to put us in a sugar-induced coma. Maybe I'll start putting milk over it for breakfast. Yum?!
