We usually vacation with the Nielson family during Spring Break, but this year with the tough economic times, we decided that camping might be a cheaper fun alternative. We went to Oak Flat Campground and camped overnight with all of Kirk's family. We had a great time, thoroughly enjoying the time together and the cooler weather during the day, but freezing our rears off at night!
Here was everybody's favorite parts:
Kirk: Playing frisbee and horseshoes with his brothers and dad for hours and hours and hours. Also, taking the kids on wild jeep rides up and down the mountain
Alyson: Laying in the hammock and taking a relaxing nap with Brynn
Marissa: Hiking to the secret hideout with all the bigger girl cousins
Noelle: Finding a hunting knife that was buried in the dirt (maybe a murder weapon - yikes!)
Liz: Going on a hike and finding Big Foot's actual footprint
Brynn: Playing with her buddy cousin, Kruze

camping is so fun! we should plan a trip this summer..because you guys are the coolest!
Nielsons are the greatest when it comes to planning and carrying out an exciting and memorable time. Was it Kirk or Marlene that drove on the exciting jeep rides?
Sounds like it was a blast. I'd go with you Alyson on what sounds like the most fun!
