Horton Springs

In an attempt to regain my standing as "Favorite Daughter" , me, Kirk, and my dad went on a hike a couple weekends ago. (My standing has dropped significantly recently seeing that one sister just graduated in the family dental field, and my other sister has adorable cute baby twins - they are rightly the favorites.) Ha! Ha!
Actually Kirk was scouting out a place my dad had told him about for a possible hike/overnighter for the 11 year old scouts he works with. We went on the 8 mile hike to see if the scouts would be too wimpy to go on it. (We figured if us oldies could do it, then they surely could.)
Horton Springs is up past Payson, kinda on the way to Christopher Creek. It was a beautiful hike along Horton Creek with pine trees all along the path.

Here's me and Kirk at the "summit". It was beautiful. You could actually go up to the top and see the spring gushing out cold, pure, drinkable water.
It was a fun time, but a tough enough hike that I'm worried about those 11 year old scouts! Thanks Dad for the fun time!

Uh on... Annie is hiking Horton Springs tomorrow. I wonder if they build a 4 wheel drive segway (or however you spell it..)
